The County of Hawaii has been selected as a pilot site to implement a computer system interface between the Hawaii Police Department's "Green Box" booking system and the Prosecuting Attorney's HITS case tracking system. Monies will to be used to hire a consultant to design and implement the system interface which will eliminate double entry of information into the separate systems and will help to improve efficiency for intaking of arrest cases. Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General. Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $24,000 grant.
