This project include constructing retaining walls, guardrails/handrails, drainage drywells and widening shoulders at various location in Hilo. This bill increases the FY06-07 appropriation, for the federal portion only, from $2,400,000 to $4,900,000. Due to the existing Council rule governing reconsideration of legislation and because we are close to the end of the fiscal year, we would like to request a waiver from the Finance Committee and have this bill heard at the next Council meeting scheduled for May 16, 2007.
