RESOLUTION NO. 'Za'4 0'7
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the geographic location ofthe Ocean View Community hinders the ability
of emergency service providers to respond to situations in the azea, sometimes with waits of up
to an hour or more; and
WHEREAS, the Ocean View Community is fortunate to have an active and effective
Volunteer Fire Department supported by the Hawai i County Fire Department and manned by
committed and well trained volunteers; and
WHEREAS, discretionary funds from District 6 in the amount of $1,870 shall be used to
purchase a Ham Radio Base Unit and necessary accessories; and
WHEREAS, all equipment purchased in accordance with this resolution and with public
funds shall become property of the County and shall remain in the custody of the Fire
Department at the Ocean View Volunteer Fire Station; and
WHEREAS, discretionary funds fromCouncil District 6 will be transfen•ed to the Fire
Department for use as a grant to purchase emergency equipment for the Ocean View Volunteer
Fire Department; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWATI that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Fire Chief and to the Director of the Department of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
