It is my pleasure to nominate Myles Y. Miyasato of Council District 1 to the Hawaii
County Transportation Commission. Mr. Miyasato is a 46-year resident of Hawaii. He
is employed by the Hawaii Operating Engineers Stabilization Fund. His prior
employment was with Oahu Construction and Isemoto Contracting as a foreman.
Mr. Miyasato is a member of the Koaniani Community Club, and the former chair of the
Hawaii County Cost of Government Commission. He states that he is not affiliated with
any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a vacant term that will expire on
December 31, 2010.
