Subject: Save Punalu'u
In behalf of my husband David and I, we want to voice our helping in saving the beautiful Punalu'u beach and the
ahupua'a (mountain to the sea). This beach is one of the last resort for our ocean friends to visit and also for our
children of today and tomorrow. We all need something of past to remind all of us what it was yesterday and our
children is our tomorrow. Punalu'u beach can be a classroom to teach our children about the life in the ocean as
well on the beach and the mountains on native plants. During the week I am with students and it is amazing how
they are grasping to learn on our Hawaiian culture and what it was and now. Again, please help in,preserving our
