Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Tricia Malanka of Council District 7 to the
County of Hawaii Board of Ethics. Ms. Malanka is a two-year resident of
Hawaii. She is an independent contractor working as a realtor. From 1992 to
2005, she was a flight attendant for American Airlines.
Ms. Malanka is a planning committee member of the Robert Lynn Sayre
Foundation, and a silent auction committee member of the Aloha Hawaiian Night.
She states that she is a registered Democrat. If confirmed, Ms. Malanka will
serve the remainder of a vacant term to end on December 31, 2007, and she will
be eligible to be reappointed for another term.
