Subject: Bill 60, Draft 2
I ask that you consider amending Bill 60, Draft 2 by increasing the Revenue-Fund Balance From
Previous Year account by $340,000 and increasing Transfer to Cap Proj Fund-G account by the
same amount. The appropriation will be used for Napo`opo`o Road - Mamalahoa Highway
Mauka Rock Face Improvement in Captain Cook. The appropriation will be used to design and
construct a remedy for the deteriorating mauka rock face, improve the line-of-sight, and reduce
the number of accidents at the intersection. Ordinance No. 94-92 (Bill 275; 9-2-94) appropriated
$161, 250 from private funds for improvements to this intersection. This request for an
additional $340,000 will pay for land acquisition and construction for this intersection.
