Ford, Council Member -District 7 <3F <br /> SUBJECT: Transmitting Bi1123, Draft 3, Relating to the County Plumbing Code <br /> Attached please find a Draft 3 of Bi1123, relating to the County Plumbing Code. This draft <br /> contains the amendment to Draft 2 of this bill made by the Council's Public Works & <br /> Intergovernmental Relations Committee during its meeting on May 16, 2007. <br /> Specifically, the Committee amended article 3 (Installation Requirements), section 17-47, <br /> paragraph 26, of the bill, to incorporate a floor amendment expressed in communication 85.4. <br /> This floor amendment was subsequently amended to leave in the terms "all new" before the <br /> terms "water heaters" in line one. As amended, paragraph 26 now reads as follows: (The <br /> changes are ramseyered for illustrative purposes only.) <br /> "(26) Amending Section 510.5. Section 510.5 is amended to read: <br /> `Due to seismic activity in Hawaii County, all new water <br /> .v-cnc-river-ccr.cr~xc......... <br /> heaters shall be anchored or strapped <br /> a to resist horizontal displacement due <br /> to earthquake motion.
