Bill 51 has recently been called to our attention. We have reviewed Bi1151, Ihaa { 2 uui have
great concerns about the added language that amends Chapter 27 beyond that wh is ] i :i:. r<xu.u•ecl
for compliance with the National Flood Insurance Program.
As of today, Bi1151, Draft #3 is not available for public comment. We have be~yn. mfi~nned by
the County Clerk's office that it might be available May 23, 2007.
We have been told that the first reading of Bill 51, Draft #3 will occur on June t.,.:? ((1'; in Silo.
This gives the public 5 working days to review and comment. This time period ir3 i n:~ sllo~t. Efi I
51 needs review that consists of testing and analysis based on real sites and proje:.,~ts.
We think it would be unwise to pass such a faz-reaching ordinance without proper ; ~,a. n in uiou.
