The purchase of the private land stretching from Punalu'u to Ninole, extending 2,000 feet inland to create a County park, open to everyone, would not eliminate the redevelopment of Punalu'u. Real estate agent Pat Blew of Sea Mountain 5 has sold resort and housing development packages neaz timber lakes and even in deserts. With 30 yeazs experience under his belt, he's quite capable of packaging up the Punalu'u redevelopment, near a coastal county park. He may not make as much commission as he desires, but at least this community would not lose its raze treasure from Punalu'u to Ninole. And this could quell the turmoil embroiling in ICa'u Without this compromise, community conflagration and endangered'- s~ecns' habitats guarantee to tie up this project in the courts for years to come, just as it was fwd up for the previous 10 years. Please make a decision to settle this dispute by supporl~g the resolution to enter negotiations to acquire the coastal property. - Sincerely, .w Ruth Marie Bass P.O.
