Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 286, reports as follows:
Communication No. 286, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated March 23, 2007, nominate Ms.
Ignacio to the County of Hawaii Salary Commission.
Council District 5 -Ms. Ignacio is a 36-year resident of Hawaii and is a member of the HGEA
Education and Training Committee and Waiakeawaena Elementary School's PTA. From 1987,
she has been employed by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations as a Workforce
Development Specialist. She is not affiliated with any political party, if confirmed, she will
serve a term to expire on December 31, 2008. This was a vacant position.
Pursuant to Section 13-28, Hawaii County Charter, the salary commission shall consist of nine
members appointed by the mayor with the approval of the council.
Your Committee on Finance recommends the confirmation of Ms. Ignacio to the Hawaii County
Salary Commission to serve a term ending December 31, 2008.
