Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 129-07, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 129-07, transmitted by County Clerk Casey Jarman, via Communication
No. 284, dated March 23, 2007, creates an Election Clerk II position for the Office of the County
Clerk-Elections Division. Funding for the new position is available in the Election's Division
Regular Salaries and Wages account.
Pursuant to Article V, Section 5-1.3(c), Hawaii County Charter, states that the Mayor has the
power to "Create positions...for which appropriations have been made by the Council."
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 129-07,
and recommends its adoption.
