Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 139-07, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 139-07, transmitted by County Clerk Casey Jarman, via Communication
No. 308, dated Apri12, 2007, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal yeaz and of more
than one fiscal year for amulti-year lease for two copiers: one for the County Clerk's office and
one for the Legislative Auditor's office.
The Depaztment of Public Works Administration Office wishes to enter into afive-yeaz lease
contract for a copy machine. Funds would be budgeted in future fiscal yeazs to cover the
anticipated costs.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Chazter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by
resolution.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 139-07
and recommends its adoption.
