Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Resolution No. 138-07, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 138-07, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, via
Communication No. 304, dated Apri14, 2007, asks that the County accept the dedication of Kukuna
Street and Hane Street, in O`oma Plantation, being Tax Map Key: (3) 7-3-007:080, situated at O`oma,
in the District of North Kona, County and State of Hawaii, from O`oma ,LLC.
There was one testifier from Kona, Stacy Dickinson, speaking on behalf of O`oma, LLC. She asked
that the County accept these roads.
Council member Pilago stated that this was a timely acquisition for the County, and he urged the
Council to vote in favor. Council member Jacobson asked about the road to the north of the
subdivision, but Ms. Dickinson did not have any information.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution No. 138-07, and recommends its adoption.
