Subject: Resolution 169-07
County Council, County of Hawaii
It is time to decide the fate of one of the last significant beach in Kau.
I have listened to all the arguments and it is apparent that it is time to insure the people of Kau
that we will protect the shoreline and the significant cultural and historic sites at Punalu'u.
The resolution before you simply requests that the county take measures to protect the coast
and pass a resolution to start the process of protecting this valuable area. It seem significant
that it was noted by Mayor Kim as the second most important area to be protected.
I urge you to pass this resolution and give the majority of the citizens what they are asking for,
this resolution is not against anything, it is simply a plea to save the Coast for the people,
especially at Punalu'u.
Thank you
