Dear Council,
I'm writing this letter to inform the Council that I support Resolution 169-07 that would allow the county to
purchase the shoreline and adjacent lands of Punalu'u and Ninole Springs using Federal Matching Funds so it
will be protected forever.
In February 2007, My family and I spent several days in the Punalu'u area. We had a magnificent time. We
stayed at HALE O LUNA in Pahala. The area is pristinely beautiful with the remote Hawaii feel that is exclusive to
the Big Island of Hawaii. Turning Punalu u into a massive luxury housing development would be a mistake.
Please pass Resolution 169-7.
