Dear Council Members,
2 heartily encourage you all to support this resolution, the Keolalani Hanoa Resolution. I
have been fortunate to have spent many, many wonderful and significant hours along the
undeveloped Ka'u coast for 27 years now, and have been active in supporting the efforts to
preserve and protect this world-class area from development. It is not the place for
large-scale development, and 2 have been heartened by the groundswell of diverse
grassroots citizen efforts to bring the issue to the council and elsewhere. Please give
the people and their descendants a huge gift by passing this resolution. It will prove to
be one of the most significant decisions you will make as you serve on the council. Thank
