meeting and vote on Sob Jacobson's proposal for the

Kim:
We are the owners of a townhouse at Colony One, Sea Mountain and as such
have a vested interest in the future development plans for the area. We
vehemently oppose Council Member Bob Jacobson's proposal for the
county to purchase the 150 acre pazcel at Sea Mountain.
We believe the best way to protect the interests of the residents of Ka'u is to
support the activities and vision of O Ka'u Kakou. They have been in
ongoing negotiations with the Sea Mountain Five development group and
have received many concessions concerning protection of the shoreline,
endangered species, historic sites; and donation of land for an expanded
park; infrastructure improvements, the creation of new jobs, and many other
economic benefits. We believe the resulting plan will be the foundation for
a more vital and prosperous Ka'u.
We respectfully request that the council vote no on the above-mentioned
proposal.
