I am writing in regards to resolution 169-07.
This is a very important issue, and the people of Ka'u should be the one making the decision.
I am a 19 year old resident of Ka'u, and would like to share my concerns.
First off, my dad is a vol. fireman with 11 Charlie here in Discovery Harbor, we had a bad fire here about 3 weeks
ago, he responded to it and help to get it under control, he has now been sick since. He has nose bleeds a
number of times a day and has pain in his chest, all this because we don't have the proper breathing equipment,
why we were told because of the money. Ok now if that were true, why would Jacobson be donating this money
for this music festival in Sept, (10,000) seems to me that is being put on Ka'u Preservation.
I would like to see my dad healthy, not feeling awful, come on you guys we really need to think this one through,
don't you think this community full of folks on welfare need money put in other places?
I was at the Pond clean up on the 19th of May at Black Sands, not one person from Ka'u Preservation was there
to help, strange for a group who says they are about preservation.
I truly feel this resolution needs to be voted as a no by each and every one of you,
