Dear Sir,
As my wife and I will be unable to attend Monday's public hearing, we would like to affirm our strong
support for Resolution 169-07. Punaluu is cleazly a vital natural, cultural and economic resource for
Ka'u and for all of Hawaii. It would be a shame to give away such a treasure for short term gain.
Overdevelopment of Punaluu is clearly the first step towazd gentrification (inflated property values,
onerous taxes, loss of home). The only people who stand to gain are the developers. Let's save Punaluu
for our children and generations to come.
