you have the future of a LAST FRONTIER in your hands not the one that colonel
Custer hustled in montana, not the one lamented in waimanalo blues, it's the punaluu heiau
as far as by the people and for the people goes
when the ferry begins dropping off 100 vehicles per trip at kawaihae, these fisherman and
voyagers of all sorts are going to be looking for public access to camp and vacation, ka'u
is a perfect spot, as proven by the thousands of hilo people who frequent our shoreline
annually already
please use foresight and grant this precious ecosystem to public visitation by purchasing
the 150 acres at punaluu for everyone,( not ownership by the crowd with the biz jets
parked at kona airport)
i also salute the goverment's every effort to enlist the entire windward coastline from
the national park south as federally protected, great concept, as is the land mauka in
kahuku
i first sat in punaluu's black sand in 1977 and have made and built my home and the
homes of others in waiohinu since 1982 I'm an aircraft mechanic working bi-weekly in
oahu and cannot attend this hearing June 4 aloha and god bless
