protect Punalu'u Black Sand Beach. The future of the HEART of the LAST great open space in
Hawaii is at stake. On Monday, June 4th @ 5:30pm, the Hawaii County Council is holding a
public hearing in Ka'u that will decide the fate of the place we all cherish and have been
working so hard to protect. They are seeking public input on Resolution 169-07 that would
allow for the county to purchase the shoreline and adjacent lands of Punalu'u and Ninole
Springs using Federal Matching Funds so it will be protected forever.
