The sacred property along the Kau coast is one of the few places left on the Big Island that the public can experience the beauty and serenity of this area. Don't allow the almighty dollar get in the way of a spiritual principle. Do not allow the idea that jobs are necessary in this area, be a glittering illusion of a quick fix for the long term issue of the transition from plantation thinking to a more viable and healthy economy. Throwing jobs at an under educated and ego damaged population is not the answer. Let's look for solutions that build the inner person to encourage creativity. Why not a small business planning office to help people use their present skills or dreamed of skills to create their dreams. This would allow people to feel good about themselves and their community. Lets support the physical health of the people of Ka'u by expanding the hospital. Let's have community farming. Let's have a school for agriculture. Sincerely, Sherrian Witt Family Counselor Pahala See what's free at AOL.com. comm. No. 3~~ • I ~I Rsf. To: Ref. Date JUN 0 5 ~nn7 6/5/2007
