I currently live in Pahala, but I was born and raised in Kailua on Oahu. I have seen what reckless development
can do. I left Oahu to live here because I could no longer stand living in a place that was so over built and packed
with homes, cars and tourists. The spirit of community changed so much in the last 30 years there that I felt like a
stranger in my own town.
The Ka'u coast is a diamond in the rough and developers know that. I like it rough. I drive the coast daily and
thank God for it and it's perfect natural beauty.
Please share my thoughts with the community as I will be unable to attend the meeting tonight at Na'alehu
School.
