RE: Attached Resolution In Relation To A
Rural Health Plan And The 1998 Legislative Package
Please have the attached resolution referred to the next Council meeting for consideration. As
you may recall, the issue of a Rural Health Plan for Puna and Ka'u is included in our 1998
Legislative Package. A waiver from the Counci?'s Committee on Finance is also attached.

RE: Attached Resolution
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rues of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written approval is submitted in regazds to Resolution No. 216 , in relation to a
Rural Health Plan and the 1998 Legislative Package, waiving said referral from the Committee
on Finance in order that appropriate action can be taken by the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such waiver be granted.
