Dear County Council
Against Concern to Re lotion Bill #169-07
My name is Alohalyne Vierca a concerned resident of Ka'u. Due to the Resolutical E.9•
07, I am against this r olution bill #169-07 because why should we as tax payer ~ ° v : G:.
pay more taxes just fo this purpose. What about the other non-profit organizations. m ~1
benefiting from this r lotion. Also l50 acres of the shore line excluding the Beu;*u~ ~ rnt
Hanoa land where K alani Hanoa resided before passing, shouldn't be ex::h.uir:. ~~I }
should they have the c m of the crop when all the Native Hawaiians in tl:z ; x~ea ~ . u: u!.'..
all get that benefit to r m they're lands. That's not fair!
Preservation! Pleased a preservation. If Ka'u preservation is for preservation ,,'~y
didn't they go and cl the lagoon as well as other people from the community did ; r
May 19, 2007 and to rther my point why don't they clean the roads sides from r.
entrance to the next en ante on a daily basis and have the road ways clear 7P deb • l; n't
this what's called pre ation. So both the owner of the golf course and pravenarr ~.,r
organization don't do ything as do the county parks and recreation. I see count}•
workers sitting for like an hour and maybe working for 15 minutes. What special
employees of the coon we have here in Ka'u. Get these people to work or get r^'. ~1 :~I
them and start hiring p ogle who will actually work they're buns off and make a.
difference.
There is a lot to learn re in Ka'u not only Punalu'u everyone needs to r<:r remin~ r .h r'
Ka'u is from a 1/s a mil going towazds Hilo of the Volcanoes National Parr: to >t~:ru.:n
Beach is the Ka'u dis ct, I know not everyone got a chance to be heard, lx cause: ~ ~ 7
most wme home from ona after 8:OOpm and too tried to do anything else e~:cel~~ !m v:
dinner, shower spend hatever minutes with they're children and what! Fa?i ash:; l ~ "h.:
County of Hawaii sho d think about this Resolution #169-07 is Jacobson r Bally i t ; n.:i n~@
of the Ka'u Communit as a whole or just a handful of people. Why not ge rerorr: ~ ?i • ix
all the unowned roads ays for residents in the area so they can get to they'r~+ hnrr c;;
cattle, when there's flo ded roads places here and azound the Big island. What a.br n:
Kawa flat when hum ne season arise and the road is flooded and no one can pass
wming from Pahala t a'alehu and vise versa. i was unable to get to work on th r: e
separate occasions due to this situation and so did many others on the road befcrr, .
Ka'u residents are on t e road by 3:00 a.m. in the morning and return after ? ~t~psr is ;h;
evening. So what aze u as County officials will do to NOT PASS this resulutia i r i! 6 rn:
you can actually can fi all other situations in this area.
Vote NO to resolution 169-07
