Subject: Please save Punaluu
To Whom it may concern:
The first time I visited Punaluu, I felt something special in the atmosphere. I came to realize that the
absence of hotels, of persistent tourism, yeilds the special sacred spaciousness there. My mother visits
more often than I, and doing so has been an important part of her healing after her mother's death.
Special places like Punaluu cannot be manufactured---God took His sweet time to make them just the
way they aze---and they are dwindling in number.
I have faith that the community will make the responsible choice to protect Punaluu.
