Aloha, I think the re-development of Sea Mountain would be a great idea for Ka'u if it can become a successful
new economic engine for the people. I think those behind Ka'u Preservation are overreacting and should be
instead working together to help create a "living classroom" concept into the project. A win-win, balanced
approach is as possible as we make it out to be. Thank you for providing the leadership necessary to help heal
this situation and revive Ka'u. Both this development and other opportunities are available to boost this
community's well-being if only those involved would make a better effort to work together (rather than be so
quick to always argue). If the environment, the culture and the economy can't go healthily hand in hand, then
we are doomed to begin with. But, I think they can and hopefully Sea Mountain will prove that true if we give it
a positive try...
