Although this is a little late, I pray that the Hawaii County Council has seen
fit to make the commitment to protect the Punaluu area and the Ninole Springs. I support
any efforts that will allow for the county to purchase the shoreline and adjacent lands of
Punalu'u and Ninole Springs using Federal Matching Funds so it will be protected forever.
We have already lost too many pristine and beautiful coastal areas that support endangered
wildlife in Hawaii - those habitat losses are part of the reason that the species are now
endangered. Let's save as many of those that are left as we can. Sincerely, Nancy
