This letter is written in support of the ordinance establishing the Kailua Village Business
Improvement District and all of the positive work that is planned. As new business
owners and residents of Kailua-Kona, we can see the need throughout the Village for an
organized, and funded, effort to improve the appearance and safety of our wonderful
village. In order for the Village to be prosperous it must appear prosperous and inviting
to our visitors. As frequent visitors to Kailua-Kona for many years we have seen the
decline in the properties, sidewalks and grounds. We would love to participate in the
rejuvenation of the Village and contribute in anyway we can to bring back the charm of
the Village that we love so much.
