Kailua-Kona, HI 96745
Dear Curtis,
As chairman of the Kona Family YMCA, each day presents a new challenge to get things done for
this community supported organization. For some time now our YMCA has been in desperate need
of new vans to help facilitate our programs, in particular Summer Fun and the afrerschool A+
program at Kahakai Elementary School. One of the two vans we have is inoperable and the other is
in constant need of repair. With the help of our board member, Kent Nakamaru, we were able to
secure a "matching funds" donation for the purchase of a new van. Would you please consider
making a donation to the YMCA for the purchase of a new van. The way this would work is that if
you make a contribution of $100.00, our benefactor would match your contribution with another
$100.00, then $200.00 would be available towards the purchase of a new van.
Please make your contribution payable to the Kona Family YMCA, make a note in the memo section
of your check that this is for the "Van Purchase" and mail the check to the following address:
Kona Family YMCA
74-5606 Pawai Place
Kailua-Kona, HI 96740
An envelope is enclosed for your convenience.
Thank you for your support. By contributing to the purchase of a new van for the Kona Family
YMCA you cast your vote of confidence in the programs that we have developed and aze distributing
to our community. Enclosed is a list of the programs that we are currently offering. As you can see,
Illany things are off red .".er„ at yoar 4:o nu Family Y?`.4CA, please car~lc or, ir. and take adv..ntaga of
