Several years ago, former council member Curtis Tyler introduced Chapter 35 r.,:Ct't: iLtttaii County Code enabling legislation to provide structure for a BID to form on t ut:.:iuli 1sl~ta of Hawaii. Council member Angel Pilago proposed the Ordinance establishing th : f!",:,i: to '~:llzge BID which passed the Finance Committee and the Council on the first reading. Bi1155 would restore the safety and ambience of Kailua-Kona, improving the c, u,a,l i[;y o:.' i u r .'or those who live, work, and visit the area.
