vv or <br /> `V <br /> " <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ••~j•~O~.M'Y <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 227 <br /> 1 Dt~r z ) <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br /> A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, the October 15, 2006 earthquakes caused substantial damage to Hisaoka <br /> Gym in North Kohala, rendering this county facility unsafe for occupation until major repairs <br /> can be completed; and <br /> WHEREAS, members of the North Kohala community have been using the Kohala <br /> Cultural Center gym facilities in Hawi as an alternative to Hisaoka Gym on an interim basis, <br /> until repairs can be made to the County facility; and <br /> WHEREAS, improvements to the Kohala Cultural Center parking lot and restroom <br /> facilities are needed to accommodate the expanded public use of these facilities in the <br /> aftermath of the earthquake; and <br /> WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 9, in combination with funds <br /> provided by the community, will be appropriated to the Office of Management to be used to <br /> fund the necessary improvements to the Kohala Cultural Center facilities to accommodate the <br /> public until earthquake related damage at Hisaoka Gym can be mitigated; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $44,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $44,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.111.5111.02 Office of Management $44,000 <br /> Office of Management Oce <br /> (Kohala Cultural Center Parking Lot & <br /> Restrooms) <br /> <br />
