To:: ~NM_ ~~C R•f. Dats JOR-I'.f'IOUT- i RE: In SUPPORT of Res. 169-07 Greetings Honorable Council Members, Land ownership changes affect many people in many ways. Changing the disposition of an historical gathering place with significant cultural, historical, natural and sustainability value will have an effect on everyone who enjoys Punalu'u today, for ever. Please ensure the change in disposition of Punalu'u and adjacent properties is in the public's best interest. The public, especially the children of this district, are severely at risk of losing the ability to learn from this great natural resource. Giving up the opportunity to buy back these lands for the public domain is not a message the Council should project on our youth, but that is what will happen, i£ Resolution 169-07 is voted down. Please approve the buy back of Punalu'u and adjacent lands (that are presently for sale) for open space. Include all that is possible to attain, all contiguous and significant properties in the area that are up for sale. Try not to subdivide parcels for partial ownership, but to acquire them in their entirety. There will never be another opportunity to do so. Sincerely, 2 Kim Tavares Fern Forest, Puna Choose the right car based on your needs. Check out Yahoo!
