I write in support of Resolution 169-07, The Keolalani Hanoa Resolution. About 3 years ago
I was given the opportunity to study the Hawaiian Culture through a communications class
offered at the University of MN Duluth. we traveled to three different Islands while
there. I think Punalu'u was probably the most beautiful places I have ever seen. We spent
numerous nights out under the pavilions li:;tening to music, eating Delicious local food &
learning more about the local culture. Something I will never forget. It would be a shame
to have the beautiful black sand beaches populated by tourism that would occur. As much of
the nation is becoming built up, lets keep this beautiful place that nature has given us,
the way it is.
