My name is Vernon Letourneau. I am a Regional Sales Manager for Red Bull North America. I am based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I received my Degree at the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2002. As a student there, I was fortunate enough to be selected to take an "Intercultural Communications" class which brought us to Hawaii for a few weeks. The class taught us about the history of Hawaii, and the beautiful local culture. We were lucky to be able to spend much of our trip on the Big Island, specifically in Ka'u, where we were able to learn from the local families there all about the customs and culture of that area. Allowing the development of that area would most certainly destroy the beautiful landscape, the traditional lifestyles of the people who live there, and ultimately the wonderful Hawaiian families who took us in and taught us about traditional Hawaiian customs and culture. The temporary jobs, and low paying permanent ones cannot justify the damage that the development would do to this area. [t is your responsibility as Civil Servants to save the community you represent. I implore you to do so. Thank you, Vernon Letourneau Vernon Letourneau (218)310-0003 6805 W. 32nd St. Sioux Falls, SD 57106 [t's here! Your new message! Get new email alerts with the free Yahoo! Toolbar. N,.3 ~9. t7 Ref.
