As you know, it is a very special place for many reasons. Please conserve it for the Hawaiian people and their ancestors, conserve it in the name of environmental conservation- including the green sea turtles and the black sand. We have enjoyed visiting the island, friends and especially Punalu'u Beach Park. We have played tennis there, swam in the ocean, had parties and meals at the pavillion and played and sung music there- to name a few of our enjoyments there. We also own a piece of land in Naaleha and pay some taxes, too. Please tell those Beverly Hills developers that the Hawaii County Council says: ENOUGH! Tell them that the place will be preserved because the Council understands the importance of such action. Mahalo, Steve McLean and Barbara McClure 51 Jellison Cove Road Hancock, Maine 04640 Comm.
