The Ka'u coastline is one of so few places left in Hawaii that is still open space -please don't let it go the way of so many of Hawai'is beaches and give it up for development. It's important for critical habitat for Honu, has a rich history of native Hawaiian history, is an important recreational and fishing area for local families, and it is one of the only places on the Big Island that still feels like Hawaii instead of like Southern California. PLEASE support resolution 169-07 Mahalo - Lisa Parr Lisa Parr Marine Science Dept. Univ. of Hawaii at Hilo lpan@hawaii.edu 808-933-3900 comet: tio.34'''tlp Raf. Ta hang F G 6/14/2007 Ref.
