It would seem that after the public hearing that was requested by the council the voice of the community was clear. But I understand there is another meeting on June 19th to move this resolution from committee and once again attempts will be made to cloud the issues and the wants and needs of the community. The resolution seems to be clear in it's desire to protect the shoreline and coast of Ka'u, specifically in the area of Punalu'u. This seems to be what the resolution is about, protecting our valuable coast. Please don't let the economic desires of a minority of the people of Kau and a developer whose desire seems to be profit at all costs to distort the resolution. The resolution should be passed to save the coast, this resolution does not appear to be against anything, it is for a clear issue. Once this is passed there will still be plenty of land left to help the economic development of Kau progress, but it will not be allowed to include the destruction of the coast.
