Please keep Punalu'u as open space. It is clearly important to the sea turtles, and, as a
resident of Hilo, one of the few places locals can go without being completely inundated
and surrounded by tourists.
Look at the reorts of South Kohala - so much prime coastline is already surrounded by
resorts with limitted access for locals. []ot to mention the environmental strain on
water, power, traffic and more roads. These places are not the same and who feels
comfortable enjoying a beach surrounded by resorts.
