Dear Councilmembers:
Please pass Resolution 169-07 in order to protect critical habitats and sacred sites at Punalu'u.
A large luxury hotel will not bring better jobs to the area. It would be more beneficial to preserve this
area for residents and visitors alike.
Please! Our island is becoming another Oahu and Maui. Let's step back and look at what is truly best
for our island and its people.

Hawaii County Councilmembers
Aloha Hawaii County Councilmembers,
Please vote yes on Resolution 169-07. It's a win-win for everyone in Ka'u. The community-
based plan for Punalu'u will protect the environment, save the culture, educate the
people.
Don't sacrifice that for luxury homes and resorts that will only make it harder to live in
Ka'u.
