Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Janice K.
Nakamura of Honokaa, to the Hawaii County Liquor Adjudication
Board, to replace Yolanda Kahawaii of Hilo whose term expired
on December 31, 1997.
Mrs. Nakamura is a 30-year resident of Hawaii, and since 1968
has been a Special Education teacher at Honokaa Elementary
School. She is a board member of the North Hawaii Federal
Credit Union and a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She
reports to have no membership to any political party.
If approved, Mrs. Nakamura will serve a term to end on
December 31, 2002. Should the Council have any questions
regarding this submission, you may contact me at your
convenience.
