Arakaki and Members of the County Council County of Hawaii Hilo, HI 96720 Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members: It is my pleasure to nominate the following individuals to serve on the Hawaii County Kailua Village Design Commission: • Kimi Cook-McKie is a 17-year resident of Hawaii and since April, 1997, has been employed as a realtor with Realty Executives Hawaii. Prior to that, she was the owner-broker with Real Estate Resources in Manhattan Beach, California. If approved, Mrs. Cook will serve a term to end December 31, 2000. • Earl Fujikawa is a 13-year resident of Hawaii and since 1993, has been self-employed as a building consultant. Prior to that, he was the maintenance supervisor with the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel (1989-1993). If approved, Mr. Fujikawa will serve a term to end on December 31, 2000. • Robert Vander Veer is a 9-year resident of Hawaii and is presently retired. Prior to his retirement, he was a counselor'/instructor/administrator with the Seattle Central Community College (1960-1988). If approved, Mr. Vander Veer will serve a term to end on December 31, 2000. • Robert D. Triantos is a 30-year resident of Hawaii and since 1979 has been an attorney with Carlsmith Ball Wickman Case & Ichiki. If approved, he will replace Diane R. Nui, who has resigned.
