Aloha Hawaii County Councilmembers,
I am writing to urge you to vote YES on Resolution 169-07.
The importance of empowering communities to define their own futures cannot be
overemphasized. As evidenced by recent meetings and hearings, the community in and around
Punalu'u is overwhemingly in favor of this path, rather than the developer's plan to build
a thousand luxury homes, a couple of resorts, and shopping mall.
Punalu'u is simply not the place for that kind of development!
Now is the time for us to look to the future for more sustainable ways of living and
learning in our communities.
Please support the community, protect the 'aina, vote for Reso 169-07.
