Aloha,
I wish to make a statement about Punalu'u. This place is a sacred spot, not only in the
spiritual sense but for the wildlife of your Island. To see Turtles basking on the beach
is truly amazing. Maybe you guys just take that for granted- well please don't. I come
from New Zealand where we are reaching out to preserve places of beauty for the locals and
visitors alike to enjoy. Its often hard work involving great sacrifices but the rewards
are immense. I visited Punalu'u and was impressed by the natural beauty and the respect
that the local people have for this place, sharing its space with us the visitors. Please
preserve it for future generations of hawaiians.
Sincerely
Francesca Brice
