Dear Ms. Ford:
Thank you for the work you do for the people of the County of
Hawaii. I have lived on this island since 1982 and have voted in
every election.
Please support Resolution 169-07. I am writing to oppose the
development of luxury homes and resorts at Punalu'u. Punalu'u is a
place like no other on the island. It is so precious that it particularly
needs to be preserved undeveloped. In fact, experience has shown
that the coast needs to be kept free of development to the extent
possible to maintain the living ocean adjacent to it.
I urge you to vote for Resolution 169-07 and allow the community to
create a culturally and environmentally appropriate plan for the area.
