I just graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth and had recently had the opportunity to visit the big island, Ka?u and Punalu?u. The time I spent on the big island was an eye opening experience. I was able to see the beauty that the island possesses and also how much the land means to the local Hawaiians. When I heard that developers wanted to replace the land with resorts, it made me sick to think that the land and the lives of locals would change for the worse because of greedy developers. The time I spent in Ka?u and Punalu?u was one of the best and most enlightening times in my life and I hope to bring my children there one day to experience the black sand and open landscape and tell them the things I learned while I was there. Please do whatever you can to allow me this opportunity. Sincerely, Jonathan Thiel Duluth, Minnesota This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program. Comma No. c3 ~ ~ ~'8~ Ref.
