Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 440, reports as follows:
Communication No. 440, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated May 15, 2007, nominate
Mr. Gerald E. Perkins of Council District 1 to the Hawaii County Salary Commission.
Mr. Perkins is currently a financial consultant with National Agents Alliance, a real estate
salesperson at Hamakua Coast Realty Inc, and the Corporate Operations Officer of Pacific Prime
Home Mortgage. If confirmed, Mr. Perkins will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2011.
Pursuant to Article XIV, Section 14-5, Hawaii County Charter, there shall be a boazd of ethics,
consisting of five members who shall be residents of the County, appointed by the Mayor with
the approval of the Council.
Your Committee on Finance recommends the confirmation of Mr. Gerald E. Perkins to the
Hawaii County Salary Commission to serve a term ending December 31, 2011.
