SUBJECT: Resolution #169-07
I nm not in favor of Resolution #169-07 to buy Punaluu and one-
hundred-fifty acres. What for ? To give it to Ka'u Preservation ?
Because, in essence, that is what will happen. I do not trust them
or our councilman.
Why not purchase Kawa? We need facilities there. Please be
careful. I have lived here for 40 years and this resolution is a
land grab for Ka'u Preservation and its members, not for the
people of Ka'u. Ka'u Preservation is very good nt agitating and
threatening--that is one "big" reason you didn't hove n lot of
opposition. Unfortunately threats keep many of us from
testifying in public.
Brenda Ford's attitude of "It would be nice to get over with;'
(West Hawaii Today, June 15, 2007) is irresponsible.
