Comm. 355: APPOINTMENT OF BOBBY JEAN LEITHEAD-TODD AS COUNTY OF HAWAII DIRECTOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2007 From Mayor Harry Kim, dated April 18, 2007. Ms. Bobby Jean Leithead-Todd is presently employed as a Deputy Corporation Counsel for the County of Hawaii. Prior to then, she was in private practice as an attorney in addition to representing District 2 on the Hawaii County Council for three and a half terms. She has also served as the Legislative Auditor for the County of Hawaii. She will replace Barbara Bell, who has served as the Director for this Department since 2002 and is resigning on April 30, 2007. If confirmed, she will serve a term co-terminus with Mayor Kim, which will end on December 1, 2008. Notice to Lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a)(6), Hawaii County Code}.
